ACP Manual of Critical Care Review

I own several "introductory" ICU texts including: Marino, Marini, and Oh's. All of which have their own unique style and approach. The ACP manual is a no-nonsence guide to the every day clinical interventions physicians have to use in the unit. It is fluff free, its chapters are short and provide excellent evidence based guidance, and its easy to read. Once I encounter an issue, i can flip this book open to the relevant chapter, and know the nuts and bolts of clinical management.
What this book will not do is give you in depth patho-phys which is useful for remembering HOW and WHY our patients present to the unit. It will tell you WHAT to do for them though. Marini goes into patho-phys in adequate detail and is a "must have."
Definitely worth checking out.
