This was a very good read from start to finish. It's not often that I like a character after just reading the first page; but I did. Kara was spirited and very realistic in her thoughts and feelings. I liked the elements with the ghosts and the characters. The only reason I'm not giving this a higher rating is I think Cooper needed to be developed just a tad more, at least where Kara's concerned. But I've read worse in both those departments and in this book, it's only a tiny, tiny complaint. Overall the pace was good and I now need to find the other two in the series!! I'd definitely recommend this for a fast and well-written read.

Bound By The Baby (Silhouette Desire) Review

What a wonderful book Ms Crosby has given us to read.The 3rd in the Millionaire of The Month series. What an interesting storyline and 6 hunks and the great heroines these hunks fall for.

Conservative Banker Devlin Campbell is in Atlantic City to try and forget the letter from the California law firm -- his promise of 10 years ago that he has to honor. He saw a woman he wants to meet and got her to come stand at his shoulder, he started to win and named her Ms Fortune. The book starts as a one-night stand.

Ms Fortune happens to be Nicole Price, an employee of the casino's hotel, but she isn't working that night. Devlin has been back to the casino a couple of times looking for her. Now here he is in Lake Tahoe, CA 4 months later and finds Nicole working at the casino's hotel and pregnant. Like all one-night stands not much personal information was exchanged not even last names.

Devlin is in Tahoe so keep his promise to a dead friend that at the end of 10 years after college graduation he will take 1 month to look at himself and his life and the plan for the future.


Nicole got a transfer to Lake Tahoe to be close to her family in Sacramento, CA. She can't believe Devlin is here. What does she do now? She admits to him that baby is his but of course he wants a little more information from her.

The Prince's Pregnant Bride was the first book in the Royal Rebels series. Author Jennifer Lewis wove an interesting royal romance set in a lovely Pacific paradise.
AJ Rahia was quite the prince now a Hollywood producer. Now fate had stepped in where it was not wanted because his older brother, the King was presumed dead but his body had not been found. Due to tradition, it meant AJ was expected to become King and marry the royal wife. It was position he did not want. Could life possibly become more complicated? For God 's sake, he had a life in Hollywood and he did not want to walk in his brother's shadow.
Lani Rahia secretly was glad her husband was missing and possibly dead because she had a secret. The man was a monster and had treated her horribly throughout her marriage. On the eve of his disappearance he had assaulted her both with words and physically and her worse fear was that he had made her pregnant.
Maybe for Vanu, his brother, he enjoyed being King but not for AJ. When he left Rahiri, he thought he would only return to visit occasionally not that he would rule it! His mother wanted him to marry his brother's wife and to become king but how could he do it and to a woman he didn't know? What a mess! Even though the sparks flew between them, would it be enough?
Lani was lovely, sweet and AJ definitely was attracted to her but could he marry her? She also had a secret she shared with her mother-in-law, she was expecting the Vanu's baby. If she shared that fact it would be the baby would be the heir to the throne. Could or would she keep this secret from AJ? In the end, she could not and it was should we, could we what were they going to do?
It was like a roller coaster until they found the King's body but not before they made love. Talk about complicated but there was one thing for sure, AJ was definitely NOT going to walk in his brother's shadow.
The Prince's Pregnant Bride had an action packed happy ending. It took AJ returning back to LA to realize what he could have lost due to his pride and a most romantic reunion for the two of them. From landing an airplane on the palace grounds to making love in the throne room a pretty explosive ending. I am looking forward to reading more Royal Rebels.

Tabitha Talbot and her partner, Sam Stevens, were morning radio celebrities. When Tabitha found out she was pregnant she told her boyfriend and ended up dumped. Sam was around when Tabitha's test stick showed positive, but no one else at the station knew of the baby. Still, word of being dumped traveled. The station manager decided to use it as a promo. The listening audience was invited to mail in love letters for Tabitha. She would choose the best and go out on a date with the winner.
Sam was a confirmed bachelor and was in no way daddy material. At least that was what he thought. However, since the boyfriend was out of the picture, he (as a concerned friend) made sure Tabitha saw her doctor, took her vitamins, and ate right. The attraction he had always felt for her exploded into much more. Now he had only to somehow convince her.
***** Oh, this story is pure delight! I began reading on a Saturday, intending to read an hour before heading out for lunch, only to continue reading until the last page had been read. (Who needs lunch anyway? There is always dinner!) I urge you to buy this novel! It is full of humor and romance and is very addicting! *****

Inheriting His Secret Christmas Baby by Heidi Betts was the perfect ending to a perfect series, The Jarrods. This family of brothers and sisters who after their father died had to relocate back home to Aspen and run the Jarrod Resort or they would loose their inheritance.

This was Trevor and Haylie's story, a moving and complicated one, full of passion that neither of them counted on, plus the fact that Haylie had traveled from Denver to Aspen to tell Trevor he had an infant son and the mother was her sister who had died. Her irresponsible sister who never took the time to let Trevor know of the baby and who had let her sister literally raise him, even when she had been alive.

When Trevor set eyes on Haylie and baby Bradley sitting in his office he had no idea what she wanted and then when she dropped the bomb he thought could this beautiful young woman be a gold digger? Well, he was no dummy and he would make sure there would be a DNA test. However, what to do about the press until they got the test results because the press loved to expose anything they could about his family.
So Trevor came to a decision. For two weeks he would move Haylie and Bradley into his home and he would make sure the baby had everything he needed and in the meantime, he would get to know this supposed child of his and learn about the duties he would need to perform as father. What he didn't count on was having Haylie say no because she owned and ran an events business back in Denver. She wasn't like anything he expected plus the sexual attraction sparked between them.

Haylie couldn't believe how hands on Trevor wanted to be, it tugged at her heart strings, plus the fact that he had made arrangements with his sister to meet with Haylie about her upcoming Christmas Eve wedding. He sincerely wanted her to stay in Aspen and plan her events from Jarrod Manor and she did. He had also gone so far as to get her everything she needed from make-up, lingerie, shoes, evening wear, to smart and casual clothes because she had only packed for one night. The attraction arched between them and from there they entered into a full blown affair. I wondered when they got the DNA results what would happen because Haylie adored Bradley and she didn't want to have to give him up. However, Trevor was firm. If the baby was his, then he would assume full custody, she could visit but he would raise his son. Of course Bradley was his and then he did the most unexpected thing, he proposed marriage so they could both raise Bradley. No words of love, he just said the sex was good between them, and they could both live together and raise Bradley. In the middle of the night Haylie took the baby and fled back to Denver because what was marriage without love?

This handsome millionaire playboy got more than he bargained for but he needed a wake up call and that came in the form of his brother. When he had some time alone to think things through the light bulb came on, giving the three of them their happy ending and a happy ending for this incredible series thanks to Heidi Betts. It's a six book series you won't want to miss.

First of all, I've read the previous two books in Tessa Radley's "Saxon Brides"-series and liked them both, so I was really looking forward to this book. But this must be one - if not THE - worst romance I've read this year (and I read plenty). Insecure, goody-two-shoes heroine who's supposed to be so "good" but acts anything but "good", lying and whining and feeling guilty throughout the entire book. Wish I could rate zero stars...

The Tycoon's Paternity Agenda (Silhouette Desire) Review

Adam's wife died, but he wants to use her eggs to make a baby. He needs a surrogate and tells his former wife's baby sister Katy to tell her about his plans. Why he would tell the baby sister instead of his former wife's parents (both are still living) doesn't make sense to me, even if it does work for the plot of the book. Katy had a childhood crush on her big sister's husband, and when he tells her his plan to have her sister's baby with a surrogate, she is furious...and yet she agrees to be the surrogate to stave off complications.
There is a big twist to this surrogate baby story that makes it unique, but I can't reveal it without spoiling the whole thing. While I like the author's writing style, the main problem I had with this book is Adam. He's almost a little too business-y and hard-nosed for my liking.
The romance takes an uncomfortable turn here and there what with the hero having been married to the Katy's big sister for seven years, but at the same time, you can see that Katy brings out a side in Adam that her big sister never reached. I can't say I'd want to read another book like this one, but it's a good story for what it is. I give it 3 stars.

When I first bought this book I was looking forward to reading it due to the 5 star reading. I dont normally read books with an unknown factor but kept reading it anyways. But at the end I was waiting to see if she ended up pregnant or not but it never said! The name of the book is Pregnant on the Upper East Side? but it never tells you if she is pregnant. Out of the 300 books that I have purchased for my Kindle, this will be the first book I will have deleted. Dont waste your money buying this book.

So there aren't any big black moments in this story, but there are some truly hilarious moments as Whit slowly starts to chip away at the walls Mallory has set up to protect herself. This is a truly fun and light read. It's the first of the O'Brien clan, and a wonderful introduction to Mallory's family. The style of this book is reminiscent of the now retired Temptations; that I miss so very much. I'm looking forward to reading about the next O'Brien sibling. :D
