The Daddy Issue Review

You'll be pleasantly surprised by the smooth dialogue, well-developed characters, and smart plot of this debut novel by Melissa Beck. She knows how to keep the reader interested by giving up just the right amount of information, like bread crumbs leading to the final goal. As you relate to Gretchen, Daniel, and little Amy, you'll reside within the distinctly flavorful small town and get to know the various characters found there. Daniel's dilemma becomes easily understood at the hands of this author, while women can see themselves in Gretchen's maternal instincts often at odds with her own emotional needs. The sensual scenes appear well-crafted and realistic, always occurring naturally.

The last souvenir small-town girl Gretchen expected from her Chicago vacation was getting pregnant from one night of delight. The sexy, successful CEO she hooked up with told her he wasn't interested in a family, so she never revealed what had happened.
