Darlene: Seventeen and Pregnant Review

This book was an incredilbe start to a new series in which case I think would be a great movie, so many things in this book are really what life is about and what happens to girls who may make a mistake. This book acts as if the young girl did something so wrong but all in all her heart is good her mind is straight and her outcome we hope to see in the next book. I feel this book is a great book for those girls who are willing to handle what happens when you do make a mistake and I commend the gentleman in the book whom takes responsibilty for his actions and really works hard to be sure his young lady and new baby will be taken care of. If this book can be an inspiration to any new young couple who may go through the same thing or something like it, well I am going to be sure to read all of the books to see what the outcome will be. Darlene: Seventeen and Pregnant Overview

Color drained from Darlene's rosy cheeks and she felt faint. Slowly she slid her shaking body to the cold bathroom floor tiles. The darkened word pregnant penetrated her heart. The test screamed the truth her body was trying to tell her. Darlene's dreams of her senior year in high school quickly fade as the reality of pregnancy sets in. Her secret life is finally exposed. She can no longer pretend to be living a faithful Christian life. Trouble erupts at home when Darlene chooses to stay with the father of the baby, and her life is turned upside down when she is sent hundreds of miles away to live with relatives. Darlene is left feeling abandoned by her family at a time when she desperately wants their love, forgiveness, and acceptance. Confused and alone, she is forced to choose between her family, the baby, and her boyfriend.
