The Doctor's Pregnant Bride (Silhouette Special Edition) Review

What a wonderful book Ms Crosby has given us in THE BABY CHASE series-this is the 3rd in a 6 book series, different authors for each month's book.
Dr Ted Bonner and nurse Sara Beth O'Connell both work at the Armstrong Fertility Clinic in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Ted's a researcher and Sara Beth is helping with some research now along with her obstetric nursing--she has been avoiding him for some months now as she likes his looks and knows he's a nice guy.
Sarah's mother is retired from the clinic, she was the secretary to the founder Dr Gerald Armstrong. Sara's the product of a sperm donor at the clinic so she and her mother have a very close relationship. Sara Beth has been working at the clinic for several years now either as an unpaid volunteer, an intern and now a nurse. She's also best friend's with Lisa Armstrong, the daughter of Dr Gerald and now the head administrator of the clinic.
Here it is Valentine's Day Sara Beth is lonely and really feels sad not having a father to have a relationship with and Ted is a workaholic who is trying to make himself have a life besides his research. Their friendship leads to a love affair--I love it!!
I enjoyed this book and will have to get the others in the series now that I've been introduced to them.

The Doctor's Pregnant Bride (Silhouette Special Edition) Overview

Having a secret crush on her boss was definitely taboo--especially when tall, dark and hunky Ted Bonner didn't even know Sara Beth O'Connell was alive! And now she'd agreed to be a corporate spy to save the Armstrong Fertility Institute from scandal... which meant working extra closely with the dedicated doctor. From the moment Ted asked Sara Beth to be his date for a Valentine's Day dinner, the head-in-the-clouds scientist was hooked--even if she did seem to be hiding something. But Ted knew he had to fight for the woman he loved...and convince her that she could count on him to be the family man she wanted and needed. --This text refers to the Kindle Edition edition.

Strictly Lonergan's Business: AND Pregnant with the First Heir (Silhouette Desire): AND Pregnant with the First Heir (Silhouette Desire) Review

From back cover:
SEDUCED BY THE BOSS
Tired of going unnoticed by the boss she loved for years, Kara Sloan decided now was the time to pack her bags and quit. But just as she was about to storm away, Cooper Lonergan surprised her with a night of seduction.
He couldn't let the one woman who organized his chaotic world slip through his fingers. Cooper's plan was to do anything to keep Kara in his life -- including taking her to his bed.
But this sudden change from all business to all pleasure wasn't without its share of consequences....
-------------------
This was a very good read from start to finish. It's not often that I like a character after just reading the first page; but I did. Kara was spirited and very realistic in her thoughts and feelings. I liked the elements with the ghosts and the characters. The only reason I'm not giving this a higher rating is I think Cooper needed to be developed just a tad more, at least where Kara's concerned. But I've read worse in both those departments and in this book, it's only a tiny, tiny complaint. Overall the pace was good and I now need to find the other two in the series!! I'd definitely recommend this for a fast and well-written read.

Mommy And The Millionaire (Silhouette Special Edition) Review

I am writing this review mainly to make up for the unfair valuation that is currently taking up space. I would like to give it 5 stars to make up for the unfair 1 star review, but I have to be honest about how I actually saw the book.
This was a very sweet story about two total opposites falling in love. Naomi is young, poor and pregnant. She grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and has recently moved to give her and her forthcoming child a new start after FOB abandoned them. The hero is... kind of bland. Your average emotionally constipated billionaire male lead. He falls for her when she's kind to him without knowing his name or about his money, and ends up falling for her boringly sweet and nurturing nature.
There was no heat at all in this story. I personally like heroines who are more sassy than sweet, and Naomi had spunk, but no sass. The male lead was so boring I don't even remember his name.
I liked the proposed story, but there were just no fireworks or sparkle to the execution. I wasn't looking for melodrama, just enjoyable tension. I have bought one other title from this author and had the same issue. That one was so boring I didn't even finish the book (and I am a compulsive finisher). As much as I was intrigued and refreshed to find a romance novel that focuses on an inter-racial relationship (although it must be said our female lead is barely black. She's really more tan than black, and there are no aspects of African-American culture involved in the book- which is unfortunately probably a must for something being sold in the mainstream market) and feel that there need to be more written, I just can't recommend this one.

Mommy And The Millionaire (Silhouette Special Edition) Overview

As soon as a desperate David Chandler walked into the small-town Laundromat, his stained shirt vanished from his mind. His new focus: the beautiful woman at the center of the Suds Club. But the dynamic Naomi Shannon wasn't looking for love--she was four months pregnant, and memories of her failed relationship still stung. Little did she know hre new friend Dave wasn' the regular guy he seemed. On the run from his life as a New York City captain of industry, the big-city tycoon was in search of something to fill the void in his heart. Had he finally found what he was looking for--or would the relationship come out ruined in the wash?--This text refers to the Kindle Edition edition.

Pregnant and Protected Review

A wonderful romantic story about a pregnant woman and the stranger who saved her in more ways than one. The sweet budding love between the two is helped along by Lock's little twin boys by showing Lauren parenthood is nothing to fear. Also, the mystery of the threats made to Lauren helps them realize what truly is important in life - love and family.
Recommended for those who like pregnancy romance fans.

The Tycoon's Paternity Agenda (Silhouette Desire) Review

Adam's wife died, but he wants to use her eggs to make a baby. He needs a surrogate and tells his former wife's baby sister Katy to tell her about his plans. Why he would tell the baby sister instead of his former wife's parents (both are still living) doesn't make sense to me, even if it does work for the plot of the book. Katy had a childhood crush on her big sister's husband, and when he tells her his plan to have her sister's baby with a surrogate, she is furious...and yet she agrees to be the surrogate to stave off complications.
There is a big twist to this surrogate baby story that makes it unique, but I can't reveal it without spoiling the whole thing. While I like the author's writing style, the main problem I had with this book is Adam. He's almost a little too business-y and hard-nosed for my liking.
The romance takes an uncomfortable turn here and there what with the hero having been married to the Katy's big sister for seven years, but at the same time, you can see that Katy brings out a side in Adam that her big sister never reached. I can't say I'd want to read another book like this one, but it's a good story for what it is. I give it 3 stars.

The Tycoon's Paternity Agenda (Silhouette Desire) Overview

Mr. December: Adam Blair, billionaire oil baron.Dream: Producing a much-wanted heir.Dilemma: Keeping the arrangement strictly business. The time had come to move on. CEO and widower Adam Blair was determined to find the right woman to carry his baby. And when Katy Huntly, his late wife's sister, discovered his plan, she demanded to be the surrogate. The agreement certainly made sense…on paper. Adam had always felt a certain pull toward Katy, and those feelings only intensified the closer they grew. But falling in love had no place in this tycoon's agenda. How could he imagine allowing their relationship to progress beyond nine months?--This text refers to the Kindle Edition edition.
